Hi everyone, welcome back! Today I’m going to pass you the user guide for flashing stock firmware on Huawei smartphones. You can follow the same procedures to flash any Huawei smartphones.
Pre-requisites:
- It is always better to have the data back-up when we are dealing with the firmware and flashing things.
- Charge up your phone to at least 50-60 %, since the flashing takes some time and to be on the safer side.
Now if you are met with the pre-requisites, then start following the below mentioned steps one by one sequentially.
Step 1:
Create a new folder on your SD card and name the folder as dload.
Step 2:
Download Huawei Firmware
Download the Huawei Smartphone firmware on the computer from which you are conducting the flashing from.
Step 3:
No Update.app ? then Extract the downloaded file and find for update.app
Step 4:
Take a copy of the browsed file update.app and paste the same copy to the newly created folder on your SD card.
Step 5:
Now power off the Huawei device.
Start Flashing Stock Rom on huawei Device
Step 6:
Now hold the power+ Volume up+ Volume down buttons simultaneously for about 8-10 seconds until the flashing process starts automatically.
Step 7:
Wait patiently till the flashing completes. It may vary from 5-15 minutes depending on the requirement. Do not press any button until it completes.
Step 8:
The device reboots once the update process is done, wait for the device to restart and it should work properly.

Congratulations! You must have flashed your Huawei device successfully by now. This is one of the steps of flashing by turning the device off. We can also do the flashing without switching the device off. But, I always recommend the above mentioned steps, as it is the ideal one. open Settings-> your Huawei smartphone ->About phone -> System update -> Local update.
