Easiest ways to backup your Android phone

GOOGLE BACKUP AND RESTORE

Google’s Android offers the ability to save certain settings like Wireless network preferences,
bookmarks,and custom dictionary words to their servers using you Google account.

  1. Go to SETTINGS,PERSONAL,BACKUP AND REST and select both BACKUP MY DATA and AUTOMATIC RESTORE.
  2. Go to SETTINGS,PERSONAL,ACCOUNTS AND SYNC, and select your Google account.
  3. Select all of the option boxes listed,to ensure that all available data is synced.

The above given procedure may slightly vary between Android devices,the process is basically same.


PHOTO AND VIDEO BACKUP manually

We all have hundreds of photos we don’t want to lose.The problem here is there are hundreds of
different ways to backup them. Here i will show you how to backup them manually

  1. Using a USB cable,connect your phone to your computer.(It will show up as
    external hard drive).Download Celkon CT9 USB Drivers
  2. Select the disk,and navigate to the DCIM folder.This folder contains your
    Video and pictures.
  3. Select the files you want and drag it to an area on your computer (such as desktop).
  4. the selected files will copy over to your computer.

BACKUP MEDIA AUTOMATICALLY

YOU CAN USE A THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE IF THE ABOVE METHOD IS TOO CUMBERSOME.

One popular method is to use AirSync From DoubleTwist,which will sync data between your computer and your smart phone, as iTunes works for iOS users. AirSync can also sync wirelessly over your network.

You can also consider signing up free for services like Google music and Picasa,which will help you
to backup your music,photos,and videos to their internet services easily.
