Hi Everyone! Welcome to flash stock ROM. Today I’m going to provide the detailed post regarding the general errors which occurs during flashing of HTC ROM Upgrade utility. I hope this will help you if you have a HTC device and are planning to flash the device. Her I’m mentioning the detailed errors which are occurred and their solution as well.
As the name itself signifies that the ROM RUU used is not the correct one which was supposed to be used, or the flash ROM size was not enough for the image file size.
Solution: Download the proper ROM RUU and retry flashing.
The update tool used is not compatible, or the RUU used is not supporting the device.
Solution: Try downloading the RUU update tool from some of the genuine updating sites.
This is also a general internal error which occurs during the ROM RUU update.
Solution: Soft reset the device and use the update tool again.
This error occurs when the device which you are trying to flash does not respond and you cannot start the flashing successfully.
Solution: Contact the service provider, try restarting.
ERROR: INVALID LANGUAGE
ERROR : INVALID MODEL ID
ERROR : INVALID VENDOR ID
ERROR : UPGRADE ONLY
The device should have the supporting language as of the device. If the device language and the ROM upgrade tool language are not matching up, then any of these errors might come.
Solution: Download a new RUU tool which has the language which is supporting by the device as well.
This error occurs when you locate the image file, but it does not turn up properly. Retry the same procedure again.
Solution: Download the image file again if the old file is not supporting.
The RUU image downloaded used hasn’t supported.
Solution: Download the RUU image again and try.
This clearly indicates that the power in the device was not sufficient.
Solution: Maintain a minimum battery power of 50-60% to be on the safer side.
ERROR: FILE CREATE
ERROR : FILE WRITE
ERROR [222,224]: DEVICE NOT RESPONDING
This might arise when the remote connection during the flashing process is lost.
Solution: Retry connecting, try Active sync connection as well.
Open port error is a type of error which is normally occurring one in the HTC ROM RUU upgrading. This occurs before the ROM update image step.
Solution: Resetting the device, checking the connection between the device and computer might help.
The error and the solution would be same as that of the above one that is mentioned.
It should not take more than 2 minutes. It also depends on speed of the computer as well.
This is quite normal during the ROM upgrade. So, just wait until the device adjusts itself.
Just contact the service center and show the error screen which you have got.
I hope the post came in handy for the flashing. If you are facing any issues in following any of these steps, then feel free to drop a comment. One of us from our team will get back to you quickly. Also, go through the other posts as well. Thanks!
